Bloodlust by Faye Robertson

BloodlustBloodlust by Faye Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Back Cover:
It had to be nuns.

Some vampires had a thing for B+. Some preferred redheads. Others preferred blondes.

For Jasper, it had to be nuns--and he's been regretting that since the day he bit Amabel de Woodville, almost two centuries ago.

She'd done something to him. Something that restored his conscience, pointed his moral compass straight north, and ended his career of seducing virgin nuns and killing as he pleased. But even worse--she'd gotten under his skin, and he hasn't forgotten the green-eyed witch who'd been immune to his charms.

When Amabel ends up in his office, still as young as the day they'd met and seeking a charity sponsor, Jasper has the chance he's ached for: to show her the pleasure that's haunted her dreams for decades. He's taken the virginity of a hundred nuns...but a vampire nun? That's new.

And Jasper has always enjoyed a challenge.

My Review:

Loved it! I devoured this book in under 30 minutes, it is that Good.

“Some men had alcohol. Some had narcotics.
Women had chocolate, and occasionally shoes.
Jasper’s weakness was nuns.”

The writing is Fab and the dialogues are Laugh out loud witty.

It's a fairly short read so I'm not going to say any more. READ IT, If you like Vamps you are in for an absolute treat.

He is determined to loosen her up with a fun onboard romance, but their no-strings fling turns serious and Dylan is forced to confess his lies.

When the affair threatens to shatter Michaela’s own career dreams, she finds herself caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

My Review
This book started out with a lot of promise...A shipboard romance between the Curise director and a billionaire moonlighting as a dancer on his forced vacation from his Family.

But, alas midway through it lost a bit of steam, the story seemed to move along a bit slow at times. I liked the shipboard romance, but once Michaela and Dylan's romance moved from the Cruise ship to Sydney it kinda lost me. I didn't care much for Dylan just up and leaving all the time without an explanation. To sum it up I was kinda disapponited that it did not live up to my initial expectations.

The Oil Tycoon and Her Sexy Sheikh by Ros Clarke

Caught between duty and ambition, can an oil tycoon and a sexy sheikh find room for love... or will this business deal spell disaster for them both?

My Review
The Oil Tycoon and Her Sexy Sheikh is a sexy, engaging read about two star-crossed lovers who are caught between duty and desire; ambition and passion…

Olivia and Khaled meet as adversaries across a boardroom trying to negotiate a mutually beneficial deal that will allow drilling oil in the clear waters of Saqat.

Olivia needs this deal to secure her position as the new CEO of MCI oil once her father retires. She has worked hard to succeed in this male dominated world trying to live upto her father’s expectations and cannot afford to fail this late in the game. The only thorn in her side is Marine Biologist and Heir to the throne of Saqat Sheikh Khaled.

Khaled and Olivia are instantly attracted to each other but they both know they cannot have more than a brief fling. Olivia has her own ambitious goals and Khaled has a duty to his country, as heir to the sheikhdom he is required to marry a Saqat woman a bride pre-chosen for him. Destiny however has very different plans for them…

The characters were well written; Khaled isn’t your typical playboy sheikh, He is a sexy scientist who is actually more concerned about the environment that making money and Olivia is smart, feisty, ambitious businesswoman with heart.

The Oil Tycoon and Her Sexy Sheikh is a well-written romance that will have you turning the pages, I like the way the story flowed and have to give credit to the author for not rushing the ending; but being a huge fan of epilogues I sure would have liked to read about their lives 5 years down to find out if they achieved all they set out to do.

Ros Clarke is a new author for me and I have to say I quite enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

My Review:
A Night of Southern Comfort is a Sizzling Hot read with the added element of mystery and intrigue to keep you engaged to the very end.

Kayla decides to celebrate a new chapter in her life with a one night stand….no names, just one night of hot, sweaty, wall banging sex and oh boy does Jackson ever deliver…
“What the hell were you supposed to do when your fantasy showed up in your reality?”
Thank her lucky stars I say ☺

The characters in the book are well drawn out; the passion and chemistry between Jackson and Kayla leap off the pages, these two could easily start a 5 alarm blaze…

A Night of Southern Comfort is a solid debut novel by Robin Covington. A recommended read.

Quotes from the book:

-- He stopped in front of her, his thigh brushing her leg and setting off a series of sparks underneath her skin. His chocolate brown eyes met hers, filled with the assurance of decadent possibilities.
Michaela opened her mouth and shut it again. Now that he was here, she had no idea what to say. What would Angelina do? Channel your inner Jolie.
She cleared her throat. The result was a sultry, sexy voice she didn’t know she possessed. “May I buy you a drink?”
He glanced at the glass in her hand and nodded.
“A Southern Comfort.” She spoke in the general direction of the bartender, unable to tear herself away from her companion. “Neat.”

-- “I wasn´t looking for a man at all. That changed when I saw you. I picked you because I couldn´t not pick you".”

-- "Date me. Move in with me. Marry me. Make me beg. I don´t care".

Rodeo Rebel by Debra Kayn

Rodeo Rebel by Debra Kayn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Back Cover:
When widower and land baron Cole Reardon acquired the Turner Grain Corporation, he didn't know the company sponsored a bull rider. He refuses to support thrill-seekers dumb enough to get on the back of a crazed animal. He’s not willing to risk his fortune and livelihood when he has his daughter's well-being to consider. Not even when the bull rider is the sexiest woman he's ever seen.

Bull rider Florentine McDougal plans to turn pro after the season championship, fulfilling her lifelong dream of succeeding in a man’s world. That is, until Cole Reardon shows up and threatens to break his sponsorship contract with her. Now everything she’s worked for is less than eight seconds away from being destroyed.

Cole distracts Florentine with his sexy mouth and unreasonable demands, and he's not going to compromise his integrity. But she's not going to let him loose until she has pro status. And neither will come away from this dust-up unscathed.

My Review
Rodeo Rebel is an absolute joy to read, you will laugh and cry and cheer Florentine on as she takes on the ride of her life – 8 seconds to glory and making dreams come true.

This is a story of a female bull rider Florentine McDougal fighting for a spot at the top in a totally male dominated world of Bull Riding.

Cole Reardon acquired Turner Grain Corporation and along with it the sponsorship of a female bull rider, he does not condone risky thrill seeking behavior and wants out of the contract, much to his dismay Florentine is not going to be talked out of her iron clad contract and so the dance begins.

Cole is one sexy cowboy and single dad, try as he may he can’t seems to keep away from Florentine; there’s lot’sa chemistry between these two and their witty banter is a treat to read.

I think Florentine is my favorite heroine by far; She is sassy and feisty with a tough exterior and a total mush interior. Her wise cracks are goanna have you laughing; you are going to love her spirit and determination to achieve her goals and succeed in the face of adversity.

I also love the dynamics between the five McDougal sisters and their love and solidarity for each other.

This is my first book by Debra Kayn and I have to say it is awesome. Rodeo Rebel is a terrific read, a story that will keep you engaged and cheering Florentine on to the end. Highly recommended.

A Quote from the book:

“Whatever you’re imagining in that bull head of yours, you better rope yourself tight, because I’ll buck you every step.” She sauntered closer. “Maybe you’re all muscles and little smarts. I had a dog like that once. He damn near chewed his own leg off before he realized it wasn’t a bone.”

My Review:
A touching story of a tortured war torn hero Marco returning home injured from the war zone and reconnecting with his childhood friend Alyssa.

Alyssa had a tough childhood; growing up Marco her brother’s best friend has been her guardian and her salvation. Alyssa's has been in love with Marco all her life, so when she reconnects with this tortured man it is her chance to finally be there for Marco.

There is lots of angst and sexual tension in this book to keep you engaged. Marco and Alyssa romance is sweet and tender based on their long standing friendship and his role as her protector.

A nice engaging read.
