Sydney Harbor Hospital: Luca's Bad Girl by Amy Andrews

Sydney Harbor Hospital: Luca's Bad Girl by Amy Andrews
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Back Cover:
Welcome to the world of Sydney Harbor Hospital (or SHH…for short—because secrets never stay hidden for long!)

One night in the on-call room can never be enough for this couple!

Regular lovemaking is Dr. Luca DiAngelo's preferred antidote to stress. But even he is surprised by the passion a brush with danger inspires in prickly E.R. doctor Mia McKenzie.

Vulnerable Mia is furious she slept with the devilishly charming Sicilian and she's determined to give her hot lover the cold shoulder. But the chemistry that blazes between them might just melt the hardest of hearts….

My Review:
Luca and Mia, two more tortured and damaged souls you wont find, but boy are they ever made for each other….too bad they don't know it as yet :)

This story is beautifully written and the characters well drawn out, no surprise there considering it is written by the brilliant Amy Andrews.

Yes there is lot of hot, steamy wham bam thank you ma'am sex in this book, but I think it worked well with the premise of this story to project Luca and Mia’s no intimacy, no strings attached, no relationship lifestyle.

Amy did a wonderful job in giving us a glimpse into Flinn and Evie's relationship, I can't wait to get my hands on that book.

Luca's Bad Girl is not a light, flirty, sexy book, it is so much more than that, this story has a lot of depth and emotion to it, it’s about survival and perseverance and falling in love against all odds even when you have every intention of never risking your heart.

One tiny reservation : I would have liked a little longer epilogue, but I do understand word count restrictions.

A definite read.

Here's a little teaser:

Mia felt utterly dominated as Luca lounged against the wall, arms crossed. His gaze raked her body lingering on her breasts, her thighs, her boots. Then travelledall the way back up again to rest on her mouth.
The seconds ticked by as his eyes locked on her lips. Her tongue darted out to moisten them, a nervous gesture.

   His nostrils flared. She swallowed.
His arms dropped. Her heart skipped a beat.
He took a step towards her. She tensed.
The lift dinged. He stopped. She breathed again.
"Ladies first," he murmured. "Number nineteen."

Mia walked on legs made of Plasticine to the indicated apartment, aware of his eyes on her the whole time. She could barely breathe by the time she pulled up in front of his door.
Absently she reached for the doorhandle the same time he did. He sucked in a breath. "Your hands are freezing," he murmured.
"Yes," she agreed. That was because all her blood had drained to her belly and breasts. In fact, apart from her torso, she felt cold right through to her bones. She even shivered involuntarily.
Luca grinned at her as he pushed open the door. "I have the perfect solution."
He tugged on her hand and she followed him into the toasty centrally heated apartment.
Luca strode into his bedroom, Mia in tow, flipping lights on as he went. He walked straight past his bed, turning right into a spacious en suite. He ushered her in, shut the door, flipped on a wall mounted heater, opened the shower screen and turned the hot tap on full bore. Instant heat puffed into the air from the shower head.
He turned to look at Mia, shrugging out of his jacket. "Get naked."
Mia quirked an eyebrow at his imperious command. "Boy, you sure know how to seduce a woman."

Innocent 'til Proven Otherwise by Amy Andrews

Innocent 'til Proven OtherwiseInnocent 'til Proven Otherwise by Amy Andrews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book Blurb:
Rules are made to be broken…aren’t they? Ali doesn’t do reckless, and she certainly doesn’t do one-night stands – until one intoxicating night with the most lethally attractive man she’s ever laid eyes on… More shocking still, when Ali meets the lawyer holding her career in his hands a few days later – it’s the same hot guy! The legendary Max Sherrington knows even his vivid memories of Ali could be defined as inappropriate conduct! Protocol may forbid him from touching her – but just because they can’t break the rules it surely doesn’t mean they can’t bend them a little

My Review

Naughty and Nice with lots of Spice!
OMG! I loved Innocent 'til Proven Otherwise…this book was sensational.

Amy Andrews has written a beautifully sexy angst free romance with two great characters; I love Ali she is feisty & adorable, Max with his die hard focus is too die for sexy.

The sexual tension and attraction between Ali and Max burn up the pages of this book. The dialogues are witty and funny with tons of laugh out moments - I don’t want to say much, the only way to enjoy this book is to read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Innocent 'til Proven Otherwise' this is now my new favorite Amy Andrews book…Bold and Sexy, a perfect summer read and highly recommended!

Some great quotes from the book:
‘How far to your place?’ she asked
Max gaze dropped to her still unbuttoned blouse ‘fifteen minutes’
Ali looked him square in the eye. ‘How fast if I don’t do this up?’
He feasted his eyes on the white lacy bra cups. ‘Ten’
She nodded. ‘I’ll let you do whatever you want with them if you can get us there faster’
Max made it home in eight minutes flat.

‘Did you know’ she murmured, ‘that you burn off the same amount of calories during sex as you do during a five-k-run?’
…
He dug his fingers into his hips. ‘I do ten’
Ali smiled and she peeled the sheet back. ‘Okay, then. I’ll let you do me twice.’

Waking Up With Dr Off Limits by Amy Andrews

Waking Up With Dr. Off-LimitsWaking Up With Dr. Off-Limits by Amy Andrews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great Read! Waking Up With Dr. Off-Limits is the 4th book in the Single, Free & Fabulous in Sydney series. I have enjoyed reading this series and this book was a great wrap to the series.

Waking Up With Dr. Off-Limits is a story of two people finally finding each other. I liked the characters in this book very much. Jess “homey girl next door” personality was a good contrast to Adam’s Hotshot Jet setting Surgeon’s. Jess had spunk, she was not afraid to stand up for or go after what she really wanted in life, I liked that Jess & Adam both had dreams and goals and in the end were willing to compromise and work together to achieve them. Love conquers All!

It's their last summer of being single!
Jess's Diary

At least catching my housemate, Dr. Adam Carmichael—bachelor and my secret
crush extraordinaire—in my bed(!) means he finally knows my name! For years, Adam's been one hundred percent off-limits (if ever a man needed a revolving door on his bedroom…) but there's no harm in dreaming of more…is there?
