Working Girl by Jessica Hart

Working Girl (Harlequin Romance, No 3429)Working Girl by Jessica Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sparks flew when Phyllida Grant literally crashed into Jake Tregowan at the airport. Phyllida’s life had just hit rock bottom losing her job and her Fiancée, she decides to visit her cousin in Australia and take a break. Jake owned the Marina where Phyllida’s cousin worked; when Chris’ husband is involved in an accident and she has to leave in a hurry, Phyllida promises to fill in for Chris at the marina to save Chris’s job. Jake was prejudiced against career women and had some pre-conceived notions of them being selfish and obsessed. As the story progressed it was wonderful to see Phyllida break through Jake’s defenses and fall in love.

The synopsis really did not do this book justice. If you are a fan of Jessica Hart and are familiar with her writing style you will not be disappointed with this book. The Heroines in her book are spunky, Sassy and Smart. This book was first published in 1995, and recently released as a eBook (Harlequin Treasury collection) if you are looking to read a classic Harlequin and a throw back to the 90’s I would recommend this one.
